Steve Felix is frequently referred to as “The Ambassador” for the global commercial/institutional real estate industry. He travels extensively and participates in high-level conferences which include both investment managers and pension funds, endowments and foundations. He provides strategic advisory services to investment management firms and other service providers and his clients often refer to him as “The Industry Shrink.” He publishes a weekly column called “On the Road with Steve Felix” here and is a popular moderator and facilitator at both industry and corporate events. Steve is a member of the membership committee of INREV, the European association of non-listed real estate vehicles and a member of PREA (Pension Real Estate Association). He holds the following industry designations: CRE, FRICS and is a Hoyt Fellow.
In 2006, Steve issued his first CD of original tunes called “Felix....Finally.” This project raised more than $50,000 for Chicago-based 501c3 organization Keys-4-Kids which donates band equipment to underfunded public schools nationally. His second CD, Felix: Wait for Me will be out in early 2010. Again it is a close collaboration with his sons Brian, who served as producer, arranger and musical director and Kevin, who co-wrote some of the songs with his Dad. The band is an outstanding group of well-known Chicago area musicians including Ernie Hendrickson, Chris Clemente, Michelle Halman and Rich Stitzel and the record was engineered by Manny Sanchez. Special guest Timmy Muldoon contributes lead vocals on “The One Who Sticks Around.”
